Li Xianqiao (Shaohe) was a respresentative writter of GaoMi Poetic School, who had a considerable influence on poetic circle since Reign of Qian long and Jiaqin, Qin Dynasty. Nevertheless, the collection and research on his works have not been unfolded completely. Based upon recarved edition in 12l year of Qianlong Reign, referred to the remains of the edition in the years of Jiaqin Reign, this correction and annotation collect, correct and annotate the main works of shaohe. Furthermore, the poetic idea and characteristics are discussed hereby. Facing the competitive framework between Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty, he reveals certain surpassing spirit based on absorbing the essence of the poems in Tang and Song Dynasty. On the one hand, he sticks to the principle of "Poems manifest one's ambition"; on the other hand, he focuses on feeling and objects to the classification of Tang and Song poems. He stands for flexibility and learning from different masters. His poetic content shows mainly on enjoyment of landscape, reposal of homesickness and loneliness and response for toast. Due to different masters, his poems reveal artistically three different styles: hard school poem influenced by Han Yu, cold school poem by Jiac Dao and Yue Fu poem from Zhang Ji. Those artistic characteristics can be proved further by his images of his own, such as rain image, candle image, moon image, sunset image. The frequent appearance of above-mentioned images indicates his different feeling angles showing various culture connotation and aesthetic value. His default in poem is short of depth in content, width in theme and is unilateral in search for artistic form, resulting from his placement of creative origin on poetic tradition rather than practical life.
