In the communication network with multi-manufacture and multi-type equipment, there are large differences among the Network Management Interface. The Adapter Technology is introduced to resolve the consistency of Network Management Interface.. After different Network Management Interfaces are adapted, the Network Management System can realize the inter-connection and inter-operation among different systems, so as to manage and operate the managed systems with different management interfaces consistently.The traditional Adapter mainly realizes the adapter function among different Network Management Interface. With the development of Network Management requirement, the traditional adapter appears many disadvantages, such as low flexibility and low reliability. In allusion to these disadvantages, we process the research and application of Task Scheduler Based and High Flexibility Adapter, so as to improve the flexibility and reliability of adapter.In this article, the Task Scheduler Based and High Flexibility Adapter is researched and implemented. Firstly, introduce and analyze the function and implementation of the traditional adapter. From the disadvantages of traditional adapter, research the new adapter technology and the architecture is put forward. Then analyze the adapter used in Network Management System comprehensively. After that, compare Task Scheduler Based and High Flexibility Adapter with the traditional adapter and point out some cases needed to be researched further.
