Research And Implementation Of The Interface Adapter In Union Network Management

The interoperability of network management system is one of the most disturbing problems for network operators. A series of specifications have been proposed by several telecom organizations , trying to standardize management interfaces provided by different equipment vendors. Unfortunately, the standardization effort has, for some reasons, failed to achieve the effect as expected, which resulted in the great diversity of management interfaces . In many network management systems, adapter plays a role as an independent component , performing an important function of bridging different interfaces . But most of the system of network management architecture , simple functional description of interface adapter, rather than specific implementation details, has been presented.Based on the experience from practical network management projects , the author has proposed one software model of the network management interface adapter of common senses , and described it in detail. Furthermore, the author has discussed how to design the interface adapter thoroughly and deep explain the method and technology of its realization . In this paper, the author firstly has described the concept of the network management interface, and analysed the state of network management interfaces , then the author has introduced the TMN and the UEMC network management architecture and the concept of the interface adapter . In this foundation, the author has proposed the design of union network management interface adapter,and produced the design method of each function moduls . Simultaneously the author has discussed the design of the MIB.Finally,this paper has proved the model propounded in this paper is feasible.
