| To introduce new voice services faster, reduce the operational risk, regulate voice value-added service market, and increase the operational supervision of content providers, introduce new service competition, lower the technology threshold of service and content providers access, promote the voice value-added service development, mobile operators hope to build a unified voice value-added service platform (VAP) and open to service providers. As an open standards language, VoiceXML (Voice Extensible Markup Language) language, brief as VXML, fit the need of language standards of the new platform. To develop, debug and deploy VXML service rapidly, we need to achieve a software system to support VXML service testing.The author of this thesis participated in the research and development for the VAP (Voice Value-added Platform) system, as well as the design and development for the VXML service testing system during the postgraduate phase. This paper is a brief review of the research and development work over past years.This article is divided into six chapters, as follows.The first chapter describes the background of the VAP project and the VXML service testing system. The VAP project is to achieve a unified, open voice value-added business platform based on VXML language. The VXML service testing system, as a component of the project aims to provide a VXML script language testing and editing software under Windows environment. Users can debug static or dynamic VXML voice service quickly and expediently with the system.The second charpter is a brief description of the VXML language and VAP system, including the formation, objectives and characteristics of the VXML, the structure of the VXML language and the explanation of the basic concepts of VXML.
