The Research Of Product Information Integration Based On The PDM

As the developing of market economy, enterprises are faced with more and more stresses of competing.They are required to produce more products with better quality and lower cost in shorter period.To meet the requirement has become the survival and developing key of modern enterprises. So, in order to improve its management and design level of products, Enterprises are adopting various automatic unit technologies constantly such as CAD, CAPP,CAM,PDM and ERP. Although work efficiency is improved, many problems, such as unable to share the data and the difficulties of communication, are produced.PDM and ERP are two key systems in the enterprise information management. They have different users and do different things, but the ultimat purpose is the same, to upgrade the efficiency of the enterprise.However, in practice,the information between the systems can't be shared, especially the information produced by different departments. So it causes information islands in the enterprise.This paper first describles PDM's definition, development, architecture, function, application and developing trend in detail. Then this paper presents the concept, development, architecture and function of ERP,researchs the integrated method of PDM and ERP . On the basis of the analysis of enterprise's informationization requirement, this paper produces the architecture of application integration framework based on PDM, builds the whole information model of the enterprise products with the object-oriented techniques and the function model of enterprises purchase system, finishes the design of the database. At last this paper constructs EXPDM purchase system based on Pro/Intralink3.2, realized the corresponding function module of ERP in PDM, and demonstrated the feasibility of the architecture of application integration framework based on PDM.
