With the development of science and technology, pervasive computing has been accepted by people. If pervasive computing points out one direction, wearable computing is just the big road to that direction. Pervasive computing enables computers enter into peoples' daily life and become a computing environment which exists everywhere and all the time but invisible. Wearable computing is just this workable method to realize that computing environment.Wearable computing is a throughout new computing technology, which is very different from the traditional computing technology. It breaks through the model of the traditional human-computer interaction which links human and computer closely and improves the human's holistically perceptive and computing faculties, provides a computational and interactive way. Wearable computing is very complicated and relates to numerous domains, which is the representation of the computing technology and of great research value. On the whole, researching into wearable computer is at the initial stage in our country in these days. Especially, the research on the system structure of wearable computer is almost blank. But with wearable computer being accepted by human, more and more wearable computers will be needed by the various departments in world.The structure system of wearable computer and its realization are researched in this paper. This paper includes five aspects, as follows:Firstly, several special wearable computers are compared with each other. A method which can make a kind of wearable computer is presented by comparing the system structure of PC with that of wearable computer. This paper constructs an aggregate model of wearable computing which enables user functions recombined by using optional modules. Thus wearable computing environment can be used in many different aspects in our daily life.Secondly, this paper finds out a tradeoff between the aggregate model reliability and the realizable all-purpose extent by reasonably limiting the aggregate model of wearable computing environment based on the sufficient market research. To a certain extent, an all-purpose wearable computing environment is worked out by instantiatingthis model based on this tradeoff.Thirdly, this paper instantiates and develops the link module based on the design for wearable computing environment, has realized that one series port was expanded to four series ports in this wearable computing environment. The software and hardware tests were conducted. The result shows that this link module works well.Fourthly, a wrist-display module based on the design for wearable computing environment is finished. This paper also gives us a method to display a random-size dot-matrix Chinese character on LCD during accomplishing this module. The result shows that the wrist-display module has a good performance.Lastly, a GPS module based on the design for wearable computing environment is completed in this paper. This module shows accurate in orientation and well in function by a performance test. Furthermore, the actualization of this module also makes wearable computing Environment useful in some situations that are in need of orientation.
