In recent years, the rapid development of wearable computing technology has boosted its wide application in the fields of industry and military area and with the research, a new computing mode comes into being. Sponsored by the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, namely, the research of wearable supporting pattern and key technologies for assembly and maintenance, with the application of wearable computing technology in manufacturing equipment maintenance as the background, this dissertation aims to improve engineering technicians'work efficiency, when they conduct equipment assembly, debugging, inspection, diagnosis and maintenance, by means of the document browsing, on-the-spot operation assistance and expertise collaboration provided by the wearable computing system. To achieve this goal, this dissertation also discusses how to build an information supporting environment via wireless sensor network in order to enable the wearable computer to efficiently sense all the necessary information on the spot. The following points are covered in this dissertation:(1)The typical working condition of equipment assembly and maintenance is described and the necessary information of equipments and workshop environment is provided.(2)To meet the demand of building supporting environment of wearable computing for equipment assembly and maintenance, combined with the wireless sensor network, universal wireless sensor network node is designed and realized.(3)There is the need to design a multi-hop ad hoc network to improve the practicality of wireless sensor network. Hence, the dissertation analyzes ZigBee specification and realizes the cross-platform transplanting of MpZBee protocol stack.(4)The prototype of supporting environment of wearable computing for equipment assembly and maintenance is preliminarily constructed by adopting the WSN node and MpZBee protocol. And the feasibility is tested.In conclusion, this dissertation takes a try on the combination of wearable computing technology and wireless sensor network and the study is practical and may make some contributions to the application of wearable computing in the industry and military areas.
