This subject is one of the key parts of R&D Infrastructure and Facility Development Program--The Remote Sharing Demonstration Research for large size Equipments– SHRIMP Remote Operation Demonstration System", which is organized by Ministry of Science and Technology and has an important significance on the sharing of large size scientific instruments and equipments.The aim of this research is to develop a sample image processing system, which is absolutely necessary for the remote sharing and operation of SHRIMP II. For realizing the remote operation, the sample images of SHRIMP II need to be transmitted to the remote terminal through the internet in real time. The data of this transmission is very big, so the images need to be preprocessed in order to fit the requirement of network transmission.The contents of this research include building the hardware system and developing the software system. The key problem to solve is how to transmit high quality images by a low bit network streaming.Hardware system for image sampling is mainly configured by purchasing equipments, which requires the time-consumption of single frame under millisecond, the producer of the image sample card providing SDK and the sampling card working stably and unfailingly for long time. Software system includes the main contents of this research, which is made up of the following modules:Image sampling module is used to capture the images from the analog monitor according to the order from the remote operator, and transmit these images to the local image server in real-time.
