Public Journalism & Its Development Trend Research In China

"Public journalism" is a new kind of news theories in U.S.A which was proposedaround the 1990s of last century, the news media also made a series of exploratory on newspractice in the past ten years. In recent years, with the constant Chinese news institutionsdevelopment, "public journalism " is introduced into our country, and the news scholar hascarried on a series of theoretical research and news practical exploration according to thenational conditions and Chinese current situation.The text analyzes the characteristics of Chinese "public journalism" and discusses thechallenges of Chinese news theories which are from public journalism in the future;on theother hand, it proposes the problems of "public journalism" development in Chinesecondition according to referencing the "public journalism" movement in U.S.A which wasinitiated in the 1990s of last century and tracing its reason.
