With the gradual rise of the TV and network,book readers are in loss,and thebook reading is alienating.For example, book readers pay less attention to utility,andlay more stress on entertainments.This has already become a global problem.Teenagers play an important role in the nation.Their level of knowledge,structure of knowledge and learning ability will affect the future of the societydirectly.With the dropping of the national reading rate, the reading of teenagers mustbe influenced.The reading of teenagers is composed of curricular reading and theextracurricular reading.Compared with the uniformity of the curricular reading, theextracurricular reading depends on individuals mostly, it can really reflect the interestand inclination of the teenagers' reading.This research tries to conclude theinclination of the teenagers' reading, based on the investigating the situation ofteenagers' extracurricular reading.This research includes five chapters.Chapter one scrutinizes the environment of reading, in order to clarify thecurrent situation of reading.Chapter two defines the reading and the reading inclination, and clarifiesseveral questions correlated with reading, including the relation between reading andsociety, the relation between reading and publishing, and the influence on readinginclination produced by cultural factors.Chapter three explains the relation between teenagers and reading.On the basisof defining the concept of teenagers and analyzing the characteristic of them, itexpounds the composition of teenagers' reading, the relation between teenagers'reading and social reading, and the problems of teenagers' reading at network age.Chapter four probes into teenagers' inclination of reading.After consulting alarge amount of documents, materials and special investigation, it deliberates thebasic trends appearing in the teenagers' extracurricular reading at present.Chapter five discusses the reading guide.According to the inclination ofteenagers' reading, it suggests the government and publishers to take measures onguiding the teenagers' reading.
