Research,Design And Development Of CIMS Primary Design Platform

As an important part of CIMS, the CIMS Primary Design (CIMSPD) is a keytechnology for the application of CIMS. With the wider application of CIMS inindustry, it is required to develop a kind of software to help people to make CIMSPD.Under this requirement, a software platform for CIMSPD has been developed. Thisplatform is directed by the Object-Orient CIMS General Design Method anddeveloped by Lotus Notes, Visio and Microsoft Project etc. Author is in charge of thedevelopment of the modeling module of CIMSPD.First, the paper presents the important significance of exploring and developingCIMSPD. Then a basic framework of the platform and the elementary design ofmodeling module are given. After analyzing the requirement, the rules and datestructures of the modeling module are presented. Based on the elementary design, thedetailed design of the modeling module is given. In the detailed design, every class isdefined and every function flow chart is presented. As a result of the detailed design,the platform is developed by Visio and Visual Basic Application, and the modelingfunction of CIMSPD is realized. The database uses the Lotus Notes.This platform provides a lot of tools, and so users can create six models only bydoing a few things;It is so friendly to users that it can give some help or advice tousers. Moreover, this software is easy to use and learn;It has powerful functions, andcan do something to avoid the disagreement among all models;The classes in it aredefined reasonable. These are helpful to modeling in the CIMSPD, and moreover, tolay a solid foundation for the deeper development of function for modeling in theCIMSPD supporting platform.
