The Design Of The Data Warehouse System Facing The Selection And Cultivation Support For Cadres In The Army

Existing MIB of cadres in the army was established on the basis of traditional technique of database. Traditional technique of database was centered by single data resources (database) to all kinds of data management including dealing with affairs, batch and decision-analyses. Although database made great success in the application of dealing with affairs, the support of analysis and management has been unsatisfactory, especially, when the application of OLTP which mainly deal with affairs and the application of DDS which mainly deal with analysis are in the same system of database, the two kinds of managements have an obvious conflict. The database system facing the selection and cultivation support for cadres in the army supply a decision-making support for cadres'appointment and remove by the introduction of advantaging technique of database and the primary mining and analysis of data to realize informative,scientifically in the management of cadres in the army, Informationalization and scientiztion for Military Officer Management.This article dissertates the process of the database design for excellent cadres'selection and cultivation, and simple discussion by the application of ID3 calculation on the basis of the process of data digging in the database. Firstly, according to the real need for cadres'selection and cultivation, subject database design is done. Secondly, a database system is constructed by the technique of the database. Thirdly, the data in the database is analyzed multidimensionally by the technique of database digging and OLAP,adopting tools provided by SQL Server2000 to abstract comprehensive information which is available to analysis and decision-making and to gain a great deal of useful knowledge supply a rational decision-making support for cadres'appointment and remove.This article discusses the application of database technique in the work of the army cadres. This thesis explored the application of data warehouse technologies in military officer management, through case study and model design, thus to prompt the informationalization and scientization for military decision making.
