The Development And Researches Of CATV Tube Line GIS Based On Component Technologies

CATV Tube Line GIS is the result of combining CATV tube line management and GIS(Geograhical Infonnation System, GIS). With the rapid development of the CATV, it is necessary to establish information systems for the lots of urban CATV tube line data applying advanced GIS technologies so as to efficiently manage the tube line on a higher scientific and automatic level.In this thesis, based on the study of ComGIS, aiming at the characteristic and present condition of ZhengZhou CATV tube line, by analyzing and comparing , the author puts forward integrated development ZhengZhou CATV Tube Line GIS based on the COM technologies, using Visual Basic programming language and a ComGIS soft tool: MapInfo MapX.In the light of the requirement of ZhengZhou broadcasting & television tube line management , the author provides general design, function design, database design, I/O design, system interface design of the CATV Tube Line GIS. The author also describes the functions and characteristics of ZhengZhou CATV Tube Line GIS, and studies in—depth the several aspects of the system such as the acquirement and integration of mapping data, the realization of system interface, the search of spatial data and editing etc. and puts forward corresponding solutions and realized examples.
