Application And Research Of GIS In The Taiyuan Groundwater Resource Management

Taiyuan is short of groundwater and it is one of the cities which are seriously lack of water resource, its groundwater resource management involves a lot of factors such as society, economy, hydrology and geology, all of which need to dispose plenty of graphs, text information and data. Therefore, it is a very heavy task. Because Geographic Information System can deal with property data and geography data about space, it has powerful functions of spatial analysis and input/output of graph. In order to improve management level of groundwater in Taiyuan, the subject puts forward an idea to improve utilization ratio of groundwater resource with advanced technique of GIS, and designs the Taiyuan groundwater resource management and information system basedon Component Geographic Information System.In the research and design course of Taiyuan groundwater geographic information system, me paper firstly analyses the present application of Geographic Information System in groundwater and questions existed in Taiyuan groundwater reource management information system, then discusses the abuse of groundwater geographic information system based on traditional Geographic Information System and simply introduces GIS and MapX unit technology. At the same time, according to characteristics of groundwater management and the concrete circumstance, the paper ascertains the building target and the development design mode with the modem prototype method of the system, on the basis of sufficient survey, this project carried on total analysis and design, adopted software engineering method, put forward design of system function and subsystem, detailed the function of every subsystem.The groundwater GIS system, which is sustained by GIS technology, combines the actual need of the groundwater management and uses the object-oriented programming languageC++ Builder, embeds the MapX ActiveX to develop, can give full play to attribute functions in edit, showing, analyses, process and query for space data and attribute data, thereby manage the city groundwater data accurately, visually and efficiently.This paper emphasizes the design of space database and property database of Taiyuan groundwater geography information systematic and proposes key technologies about realization such as graph data process, integrated program technology, inter-query between graph data and property data, finally a friendly interface is produced. The system can add layers, shows graphs and control. Thetpaper also study query technology of system.At last, the paper makes an outlook of system development associating system study.
