Workflow management system is a system software which define business process, create , manage and monitor the execution of the business process.It's market is very large on enterprise application. Many Research institution, software corporation and university all over the world give much attention to workflow management system , so does our country. whether oversea or inside , there are some ripe product about workflow management system.But also much of them limited to the theoretical research and explore .Nowadays, Sun corporation's distributed computing platform of java —J2EE standard has already been approved by the extensive one.Java technology has very good platform independence, stalwart, expansibility, flexibility. Therefore, the application based on J2EE platform becomes a focus of IT industry. Various kinds of application servers which follow J2EE standard arise at the moment too. More and more open resource software Based on java on the market emerges.This enables us to structure one's own application system fast through the existing component.What this paper described is base of J2EE platform, base of JAVA technology to implement a workflow management system.Based on "drived by Token/signal model ", describe and set up workflow model through UML, make use of java technology to realize an embryonic form of workflow engine.Based on Java technology , the system has a very good technology foundation on expansibility, flexibility. The client of system can either work in different net and OS of be distributed to the outer enterprises concerned and the users. In this paper, I will intruduce how to use the skils of java to realize workflow engine.
