Workflow Management System And Its Application And Implementation Based On J2EE

The concept of WorkFlow was proposed in middle of 1980's. In 1990's, with the popularization of PC and the extension of Internet, the Workflow Management System (WfMS) had become into an imperative tool to assimilate corporation's complicated information systems and to realize the automation of corparation's business process, while initially its main function was to create a non-paper office environment. WfMC (Workflow Management Coalition: The standard organization of workflow technology) was founded in 1993. In recent years, the research of Workflow technology, WfMS and its products had drawn more and more attention all over the world.Based on the project of The Workflow System of ChengDu Water, this thesis indroduces and summarizes today's research status and the basic knowledge of Workflow technology, also, analizes the WfMS's structure and its reference model issued by WfMC.Firstly, the thesis proposes a workflow modeling methodology named as Simpe Activity Network Diagram based on Activity Network. Then, it gives the system specification analysis of the project of The Workflow System of ChengDu Water.The thesis designs a muti-layer programming framework based on J2EE. Under this framework, it designs and realizes the workflow resources management module and the workflow process definition tool of The Workflow System of ChengDu Water. Meanwhile, it gives the workflow modeling of the Workflow System of ChengDu Water with Simpe Activity Network Diagram modeling methodology.Then, the thesis implements the core business workflow engine module with EJB(Enterprise Java Bean) and the client modules with JavaBean, JSP, JavaScript, HTML of the Workflow System of ChengDu Water.At the end, the thesis gives the operating situation of the Workflow System of ChengDu Water, the test result of its performance, and the analysis of the test result.The practice has proved that the modeling method, system design and...
