The Design And Implementation Of Workflow Management System Based On J2EE

Workflow management technology can define the enterprise business process and execute it automatically or half-automatically. Based on it, workflow management system is a kind of software with the research object of implementing a distributed, cooperated business progress that can be executed automatically or half-automatically by computer.In this thesis, the research situation of workflow management technology and the basic theory of workflow management system were introduced, such as the basic concept of workflow technology, the composition and the characteristics of workflow management system, the reference model of workflow, etc. On this basis, the architecture of the workflow management system based on J2 EE was proposed. The hierarchical design and the function design were made according to MVC design pattern and modularized design idea. The architecture and class design scheme of the workflow engine were given according to the reference model and specifications of workflow, and the detailed design and the implementation were made for it. The architecture and the interface design of the workflow designer were given according to JSF technology, and the detailed design and the implementation were made for the process of workflow design. In addition, a series of workflow process-pushing algorithm was put forward, such as workflow start algorithm, drive workflow for a step algorithm, drive workflow until fixed algorithm, etc.It’s shown by the running effect of the prototype system, the workflow management system based on J2 EE has good flexibility, interoperability and expansibility, and can satisfy the demands of more complex workflows of enterprise.
