This paper is originated from "Integrated Platform Management System" (IPMS) carried on by Shanghai Ship & Shipping Research Institute, supported by special fund for research institutes supplied by the Ministry of Science and Technology. This paper is based on the embedded CAN/Ethernet gateway, which has collected the real-time data of the ship devices and has stored these data in the database. This paper mainly studies to use J2EE framework for further analyzing and disposing these shared data, provides the solution to the Vessel- Shore Integrated Information Platform Based on Web Technology, researches and develops a demo system based on B/S (Browser/Server) framework.Some domestic advanced ships have computerized with networks for the whole ship, implemented wireless communication between vessel and shore through the maritime satellite, and gained some advantages, but data gathered from automation equipments even in these ships are not integrated. For making best use of these information, this paper studies the Vessel-Shore Integrated Information Platform.The core part of the Vessel-Shore Integrated Information Platform is Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS), which is able to make data shared between low-level field-bus control network and management information network and to supply multifunctional operation platform. IPMS can provide the foundation for the function of management and decision-making support besides devices monitoring, and can implement real-time monitoring on all devices in a single ship. Through the maritime satellites, IPMS can implement synchronized communication between vessel and shore. The Vessel-Shore Integrated Information Platform makes data integrated between spot data information on the ship and remote controlling and guiding information on the shore. The command center on the shore can carry real-time and remote monitoring on all the ruled ships. The Vessel-Shore Integrated Information Platform will make the management of ships gradually more and more scientific, standardized, and implement the information integration ofvessel and shore.This paper analyses the existing low-level control platform, discusses the necessity, meaning, and core thought of the Vessel-Shore Integrated Information Platform and its core part-IPMS, introduces the design idea and the design of the functional models about Information Platform of Vessel and Shore Integration based on Web, studies the difference between the traditional C/S (Client/Sever) framework and the B/S (Browser/Sever) framework. The integration of the distributed architecture, J2EE enterprise solution and Information Platform of Vessel and Shore Integration is also studied.The Vessel-Shore Integrated Information Platform based on Web introduces the pure Chinese browser interface, provides ship devices monitoring platform with powerful function, provides intelligentized failure handling platform. With the implementation of Information Platform, the management of ships will be improved, the failure frequency of ships will be reduced, the failure response time will be shortened, the working intensity of the staff both on vessel and shore will be relieved, and the operation cost ships will be reduced. Especially to the naval vessel, Information Platform will consumedly enhance the manipulating and surviving abilities. It possesses vital values for national defence to research and develop the Vessel-Shore Integrated Information Platform, which has a bright future and potential market.
