With the rapid development of offshore maritime industry, there are higher requirementson the safety of navigation. In recent years, the requirements have become a reality under theconstant development of computer and communication technology, but In terms of improvingshipping safety, people tend to focus only on monitoring the threat of the externalenvironment to sailing vessels, and overlooking the problems of the ship equipments,inconvenience communication between ship and shore and other issues. In response to thisproblem, the shore-side ship monitoring system based on B/S is proposed to monitor theequipments of ships.The system can test that if the equipments of ship are operating normally through theship data sent by the sailing ship, predicting the possible time of when the equipments areabnormal in the future and giving the notice of ship maintenance. According to thisinformation, shipping companies can make plans to maintain the ship in time, therebyreducing the percentage of accidents caused by the ship itself. The system can also enhancethe communication between ship and shore though e-mail services of Inmarsat-C. The shorecan grasp the operation status of ship in the first time, and providing the guidance to ship.Firstly, the thesis describes the significance of the ship remote monitoring, developingstatus of domestic and foreign, and the goals of the system; secondly, the B/S mode is selectedto achieve the monitoring system by analyzing the features of C/S and B/S mode, and theother technology is also briefly described; thirdly, the method is explained in detail, which isapplied to the communication between ship and shore though e-mail services of Inmarsat-Csysteml; fourthly, the paper studies the principle of detecting the point mutations, processingtime series of ship data through the Mann-Kendall algorithm, and describing the methods tocalculate the alarm time and statistic ship maintenance information; fifthly, the platform ofshore-side ship monitoring system based on B/S is built with ASP technology. In addition tothe above features, the platform also designed a number of auxiliary functions, such as thecurve statistics of historical data, user management, ship management, system help; finally,the functions of the system is tested, and achieving the requirements.The shore-side ship monitoring system based on B/S is designed in order to improve thesecurity of the ship itself. Ship management personnel can maintain the equipment when theship homing according to the warning information; if an emergency occurs and the equipmentbrakes when the ship is sailing, ashore staff can provide remote guidance to the ship. Through theoretical analysis and simulation tests, that the system can effectively prevent the ship’sequipment failure resulting in disaster, meeting the requirements and feasible.
