Since 1990s, the countries all over the world regard training students' self-regulated learning ability as an important educational objective, the theory study and application study about independent learning have already boomed unprecedentedly .In china, all types of school are training students' self-regulated learning ability and try in a large amount, and have made obvious progress; Moreover basic education already have clearly lead to regard self-regulated learning, probing in study, cooperating in study as changing students'important way to study .VOD video on demand technology is a new developing media communication form in recent years, it is a kind of new technology that many kinds of technology such as computer technology, multimedia technology, network communication technology. This technical support is clicked and put promptly, that is to say users choose the video program of the need independently according to one's own interest, hobby. Its essence is that a user of information obtains multimedia information voluntarily according to the needs of one's own one, thus the one that has changed traditional information transmission fundamentally which is one-way , and make user fully have initiative , alternative , control.This thesis regards independent study as basic theoretical foundation , VOD video on demand as basic technological foundation, on this convenient network platform of university's campus network , studying VOD university's teaching accessory system .Because of VOD video on demand technology having the unique right to choose, control power be in users' characteristic, VOD university teaching accessory system has some teaching advantage, such as, teaching information pluralism, student study taking independently , teacher roles changing and so on, aim at offering the good network academic environment for the fact that university students learn independently, the teaching resources of the abundant network, the most important thing is that further training then improving university students' self-regulated learning ability .
