Because of the highly develop speed of modern computer network and streaming media technology and increasing number of students in university, there is a huge lack of excellent teacher, qualified lectures and teaching material. Even more, the updates of teaching method is too slow to fit the need. In this situation, network teaching rising fast. As a new teaching method, network teaching contains many technologies such as IP multicast technology, streaming media technology and synchronization control, beyond this, many interactive methods are available in net work teaching. This makes network teaching could not only break the limited of space and time in traditional teaching, but also centralize the resource of excellent teachers, make the resource to be shared. Because of this, network teaching can remit the lack of teachers, improve the comprehensive quality of students, break the limited of teaching quality development completely.This careful analysis of the development of domestic and international network of teaching, use of multicast technology and streaming media, and other related technologies to build Internet-based interactive video teaching system, the main research work:Of network-based video instruction and interactive real-time theoretical basis for the video teaching system design and implementation guidance;Of the IP multicast technology, streaming media technology and synchronization control. IP multicast technology for streaming media transmission to build a multicast environment, the synchronization control is synchronized with the timestamp synchronization and hierarchical combination of methods to eliminate the process of streaming media transmission delay and jitter generation, in order to achieve synchronization of streaming media;To achieve the analysis of system users,the division of system function module,functional design of the framework, system architecture,server topologies and system design of the development environment;Detailed design and implementation of on-demand system,broadcast system and examination system of three sub-modules. On-demand system and broadcast system from the system structure,system process and system to complete the function and design of the core code three aspects, Evaluation module of combining theory and teacher evaluation from the student evaluation is given two major process design.This paper aims to develop a fully functional video teaching system, in order to improve the quality of teaching.
