Establishment Of New Text-books Publishing Mode In Lanzhou University Press

The specialties of publishing industry in socialistic China are analyzed in this article. It is both ideological and industrial, which is different from that of other countries. The idea, policy of direction to publishing, the developing direction of publishing, and the manners and contents of management are introduced in the article. The influence of joining the WTO on publishing is also introduced in the article. The actuality of publishing in China is introduced in a simple way in the article. The opportunities and threats to Lanzhou University Press are analyzed in the article. The advantages are the development of higher education and the encouragement and support to text-books publishing. The disadvantage is that the competition is too furious while the Press isn't very strong.The actuality, of Lanzhou University Press is introduced in the article. Its ability of publishing is also analyzed.The existing text-books publishing mode is introduced in the article. Advantages and disadvantages of the existing text-books publishing mode are analyzed.Based on analyzing the disadvantages of the existing publishing mode in Lanzhou University Press, a new text-books publishing mode is established in this article. The mode in which all things are finished by one editor is reformed: things will be done by team cooperation. Team construction of authors are developed. Different marketing modes are adopted. Steps in the process of publishing are innovated.In this article, the new mode is proved to be more effective after some time of being carried out, which can bring more social and economic benefit.
