As the sign of globalizing age, television is an important part of economical, cultural globalization and increasingly becomes a social public tool of politics. But the influence brought about by TV under globalizing context is conflicting and paradoxical. This makes a game theory between transnational corporations and developing countries' TV industries. Both are trying to find the most successful strategy in order to make maximum profits.Because of the shallow links between globalization and Chinese reality, globalization and television communication in the inland researches, I choose local television, except for those in Hong Kong and Taiwan, as the researching objects of this theory. I will summarize the substantial and concrete developing strategy, connecting it with Chinese TV actuality by investigation. I also expect to suggest my own opinion about it, not only the single theory supposition. For this, my thesis will discuss as the follows.The preface introduces the cause and purpose of this thesis, the current survey for the globalization research of home and abroad and the studying methods which I will use.Part I reviews the history of the globalization theories, finds and summarizes the influences of TV communication in the theories.Part II divides the research of TV globalizing communication into three dimensions according to the traditional researching methods of globalization. It describes the current macroscopic environments of local TV from economic, cultural and political points of view.Part III and IV discuss respectively the communicating strategy of transnational corporations and local TV. The former communicating measures are the realistic basis of the latter corresponding strategy.Part V analyses positively the local TV channels. I pick out three TV media as the studying objects, count their broadcasting time one by one and then sum up the actions for the developments in local communication.Part VI probes into the strategy and movements of local TV for transnational communication, particularizing the successful examples of , national cultures and "westernized topics".In the epilogue, I emphasize once again the important role which economy plays in TV globalizing communication. And I call on people to build the strategy on the self-reliance of economy so that we can reach the long-range perspective goal of the local TV's globalization.
