Design Of Medical Treatment And Nursing Monitoring System Based On LAN And DSP

Nowadays, some modern hospitals have both monitoring system and nursing system, which, however, could not cooperate with each other. This not only requires high investment on equipements, but also leads to some unavoidable drawbacks, such as, mono-functionality and bad functionality. As far as monitoring system was concerned, most systems are analog video monitoring system. There are three main drawbacks in its functionality: first, the system is only designed for small region. Second, the extendability and upgradability are limited. Third, the cooperations between monitoring points are not powerful. As for the nursing system, it is mostly excuted by the nurses to inspect the rooms. Besids, the nursing beds are expensive in price, obsolete in control and simple in functionality. Most controlling system are in the mechanical and point to point forms. This kinds of system cannot satisfy the personalized control requiements of the patients. Furthermore, the depreciation and abrasion of the equipement are very high.A digital network monitoring and nursing system is implemented in this subject. The system uses TMS320C6711 to realize low bit rate compressing algorithm-H.263, and uses microprocessor-C8051F020 to embed TCP/IP protocol to transmit image data through LAN in hospital so that it can realize real-time monitoring. In addition, a multifunctional nursing bed is implemented in this system's terminal. The patients can use hand-hold controller to control every component of nursing bed. According to design principle, a scheme is implemented. This subject completed the hardware and software design of the nursing bed and controllor. For dependable, some anti-jamming measures are adopted.The system has high real-time capability, clear monitoring image, multiple function, and upgrade easily. It greatly reduces the chance of medical personnel to touch with infector, avoids cross-infection, supplies the way for patients' self-healing, and it can lighten the burden of families and hospitals. So,it worths to popularize and apply.
