The huge economic loss because of corrosion to the national economy has been caused people's attention, and Corrosion protection becomes one of the key areas of modern science and technology research .Metal corrosion rate and mechanism of corrosion is the main contents of corrosion protection。At the same time Corrosion science and engineering have benefited tremendously from the explosion in the use of electrochemical methods that can probe the thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of corrosion, including the rate of corrosion.Therefore,the importance of corrosion detection technology obviously emerges.The coulostatic method, based Faraday's law, enables determination of instantaneous parameters for interface reaction. In the case of a coulostatic measurement, a potential transient is recorded instantly after the inputting of a small known amount of charge. The absence of any flow of current between the working and counter electrodes while the potential is recorded means that electrolyte resistance usually does not influence the result of coulostatic measurements. The coulostatic method has advantages such as fast-measure,disturbance of small,non-destrctive testing,quantitative results and so on,moreover the new approach based on Laplace transform can give real-time analysis.Now this technique has since been applied to more and more complex systems in the electroanalysisand corrosion science.The Monitoring and control system based on the data acquisition card has wealness.one side ,the price of the card itself is so high;in addition the card must be installed in the computer and the system doesn't suit for the field monitoring. Corrosion Measurement System Based on C8051F020 MCU and Coulostatic Method is introduced, polarization curve and chemicalkinetic parameter will be offered by the subsystem of data transacting and analyzing in PC.To satisfy the actual needs in the monitoring of corrosion,Two types Of communication between Upper Monitor and Microcontrollers are designed ,through RS-232C serial part or Modem. The new system brakes away from the restrict of PCI and realize telecontrol. The wavelet transform is used to be the digital filter for the monitoring system and we achieved better results to impatient.The monitoring software in PC consists of the main thread which is responsible for human-computer interaction ,and the serial processing tread.The sysytem can automatically choose electricity to the power,data acquisition,data rational judgement,remote control,data analysis and calulation and the results show.
