One of the research and developing hotspots on oil monitoring is studying on the online oil monitoring sensor, because it is useful for us to monitor the equipment, which operates hour after hour, the equipment require good security and important equipment real time. With the aim of online oil monitoring, this project is to study on oil contamination online, which use the CCD (Charge Coupled Device) collecting the image of oil which LED illuminant transmitted, then use the image acquisition system sampling the graphics and transforming it to the computer, using the method of image processing with the computer. At last, the state of equipment was observed by particles number, size and content in the oil after image processing.The study on optical oil monitoring sensor is a new field because of its interference immunity and easy-adjustment. This project gives a LED monitoring design by analyzing and summarizing former research achievements, and then designed the adjustable oil pond. After analyzing the light scattering and transmission to different particles in oil, we chose the 650nm illuminant during the online monitoring. The monitoring can't be actualized when CCD gathered images are not clear for high consistence of particles in the oil. So we designed apparatus which have the doubled LED illuminant. One of LED illuminant was used in CCD image acquisition, the other was used in LED illuminant auto adjusting which was based on fuzzy control theory. On the base of fuzzy theory, the automatic equipment was designed to ensure light intensity which gathered in CCD. Clearly graphics was gotten by setting initial value. The equipment will give an alarm message when consistence of particles exceeds the limit which can be adjustable by the automatic equipments.In the circuit design, we chose the MCU of MSP430, it gathers the photosensitive diode's output, which is an electrical signal after magnification and filtration, and proceeding A/D transform in the MCU, then decide the value of PWM output voltage by the rule of fuzzy control which was imbedded in the MCU. So it can adjust the input voltage of LED illuminant, which is related to the intensity ofLED illuminantDuring the development of this project, the author has been mainly engaged in the task of theoretic research, scheme design and feasibility analysis for oil contamination monitoring, and designed the circuit.The measuring result shows that it can be effective adjusting the intensity of illuminant, can be avoiding the fluence by the manual operation, and can present good source image to the image processing.
