The Research Of Database Under The Grid Environment

Nowadays, Grid becomes an important information technology in the world, which aims to realize high performance resource sharing or cooperation and eliminate information and Resource Island. The Grid not merely offers the environment of utilizing the strong computer to solve the enormous challenge problem, but also a kind of foundation which organizes the remote resource and equipment distributed in all parts into a united whole.After the development after the grid technology , the data grid technology also had the thorough research and the rapid development .The rapid development of Data Grid technology has provided enhanced support for sharing large-sacle data and information over wide distributed environme,nt.The existing management about data and information mainly depends on Database system,so the Database Grid environment mainly involving many different kinds of Database Management System,of which the core problem is to solve distributed query processing,Multi-database transaction,multiple-source view and other traditional problems in Database research field.This paper discusses and compares the concepts and characteristics about Grid,Data Grid,DataBase Grid and Multi-database,while summarizing and concluding the present Database Grid researching profile and its features.This article introduced the grid database technical concept development, as well as grid database technology development, including Globus, MDS, OGSA and so on. According to this article research project, we introduced the LDAP related knowledge, access the thought of data grid by using the LDAP technology. Through the the research the exploration of the project which subsidizes by National Natural Science Foundation of China "Huge Mobile Object System", in the WINDOWS platform, take LDAP as the foundation, it has accessed a part of the grid database's thought. It takes the Beijing population ID card information search as the foundation model, the data joins or exits the system are both convenient, and access the transparent search to the client side.Finally summarizes the work which has completed and the forecast which will work to the future.
