Research And Design On Database Grid Service System

At present, data of each application fields is increasing at an amazing speed. It becomes an urgent requirement to achieve sharing among the distributed and heterogeneous database resources. Database grid technology becomes the new solution to the database resources sharing problem. It is a kind of Data Grid mainly for integrating database into Grid environment and providing access to distributed heterogeneous databases resources.This paper thoroughly studies on database grid technology, analyzes its merit and questions which is faced with. On the base of research and analyze the architecture and inner process of OGSA-DAI, according to the critical questions which must be solved, this paper designs a database grid service system, puts forward a VSP metadata model, and designs Data Resource Register module and Request Parse module. Data Resource Register expands the functions of OGSA-DAI, enriches Data Resource metadata information; Request Parse achieves the mapping between virtual resources and physical resources, finally realizes the access to database resources under the grid environment.
