Abstract/Summary:
This is knowledge economic age, For the sake of world competition ability of the enterprise. The enterprise put forward the new request to the management information system. This dissertation introduced the basic theory of GIS. Considering the natural gas industry and combining the gas network management business, build up an intelligent integrated information processing system that can assist the gas network construction and management. It requires display all the equipment and establishment in visualization style, and the same feature's display style may be different whose special attribute have variant value. The users in the pipeline network reconstruction and the management department will have the following function: retrieve and query, spatial analysis, plot etc. So we can scientifically and effectively manage the gas pipeline network, quickly locate the place where the incident and disaster raised, and assist to provide a solution quickly. It will shorten the gas cut time, provide better service to public, improve the enterprise management quality and increase the enterprise's economic benefit. With the basic theory of GIS, the gas pipeline network geography management information system including the basic GIS platform and the main moduls. At last we present our idea of developing the Gas pipeline network geography management information system and the prospect of GIS.As the technician, the author, who has a general control and deep understanding, participates in the whole process from initial investigation, technical research, and project implementing. And the paper, based upon personal experience, is a discussion over major aspects, which is open to any criticism and comments.
