Archives industry is the inevitable thing of archives undertaking in the background of market economy. With the development of market economy, especially the rise of information industry and culture industry, great changes have taken place in China's archives undertaking. One of the changes is the appearance of archives industry. And it is still in its infancy now. There are many problems that need to be solved. So it is very necessary for strengthening the research of archives industry.This article systematically discusses five main problems of archives industry for the first time. The article includes five chapters. The first chapter discusses the background of archives industry and mainly explains how market economy influences the archives undertaking. The second chapter differentiates and analyzes some concepts such as archives industry, archives undertaking, archives industrialization, information industry, culture industry and so on. The third chapter discusses the executors of archives industry. The author thinks there are four executors. They are archives, archives depositing center, archives office and correlative enterprises. The fourth chapter presents a frame of archives industry. The frame includes four parts. They are information industry in archives, culture industry in archives, labor service in archives and manufacturing in archives. The final chapter firstly discusses the difficulties of the development in archives industry, secondly gives several advices for how to accelerate the development of archives industry.
