The Research On Archives Utilization And Service In Shanxi Province

Archives are important information resources in all sectors of society, to a large extent, high utilization ratio of archives can promote our social and economic development greatly. As the institution of archives collection and archives value exploitation, archives provide not only high quality but also efficient services of archives utilizations for public and all kinds of departments in operation, at the same time, it has three proverbial functions of "the service of social, the memory of social, as well as culture and leisure". Archives create valuable social benefits and economic benefits which can not be replaced in political, economical, cultural, scientific, legal, and daily life etc.Through many interviews and field investigations in public archives and corporate archives in Shanxi Province, I learn that most archives in Shanxi Province have some more worrying signs which need to be improved urgently in the aspects of utilization and service. To change this situation, the detailed analysis and discussion in this article about the status quo, problems and improvement strategies of the archives utilizations and services in Shanxi Province could help them serve the local economic efficiently.In this paper Ⅰ combine archives management theory and the actual situation of archives utilizations and services in Shanxi Province, and aim at existing problems, put forward instructive suggestions in how to improve the archives utilization ratio, information organization, speed up the development of archives network in Shanxi Province, the comprehensive quality of archivists, increase the training among users. All these solutions proposed to improve the utilizations and services of archives in Shanxi Province, and to ensure the realization of archives information value and social service value. I hope this paper could make practical contribution for the development of archives utility in Shanxi Province.
