Design And Implementation Of An Achievement Management System For Military Training

Administrating achievement is an important part of military training procedure and has a direct effect on the training and battle effectiveness. In these years, more and more software is utilized in military training practice, but some units like brigade or regiment, which are organizer and executants in military training activity, use traditional way of handwork or simple database technology to administrate the training achievement yet, not only it is time consuming and error prone, but also it can't utilize information source thoroughly.According to common character and practice request in administrating training achievement, this thesis proposes a method to design and implement an achievement management system, which is applicable for army units like brigade or regiment. This thesis analyzes the implementation technique of the achievement management system, designs and configures backstage database, analyzes and describes the system's safety precautions. Designed with the method of modularization, the system is made up of seven function modules, which are as follows: information management module, information query module, achievement integration module, achievement analysis module, system maintenance module, database management module, context help module. By assembling these modules, complicated function requirement can be realized. As a main work of this thesis, expert system designing method in the Artificial Intelligence theory is adopted in the design and development of achievement synthesis module. The method of representing production rule based on relational database is discussed. Automatic reasoning program based on knowledge base of achievement assessing is realized, which makes the achievement management system has characteristics of intelligence.Based on the army's LAN, the system is developed in integrated developing environment of VB.NET, features Client/Server pattern of Data Base system with windows 2000 Server as main server and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as database server. ADO.NET is used to access database. The main function of the system is that the training achievement can be administrated, searched, synthesized, analyzed correctly and effectively, and the training information can be exchanged and shared. The system can provide reference and assistance for supervising and accelerating military training.
