The Application Study Of VR Technology Using In The Campus Pipe Network Information System

With the development of technologies, such as computer software and hardware, geographic information system, computer network and database, it would be possible to manage and establish public infrastructure information system by computer. In these public infrastructures, especially campus pipeline information system.At the present, VRGIS is a kind of technology that integrates Virtual Reality with Geographical Information System (GIS). Human can improve the ability of processing and analyzing the data of earth resource, environment, society and economy, extending information processing and application field by VRGIS. This paper provided a thought way to realize visualization of underground pipeline, through studying research about how VR applied in campus pipeline information system.This paper introduced OpenGL which is 3D tools and the technique of VRML, then according to the customer's need, analyzing the data construction in campus pipeline information system, putting forward the total and detailed design of the campus pipeline information system. Especially discussed the function of the system designs, such as the search and statistics function design, network analysis function design, profile analysis function design, pipeline synthesizes engineering function design and service function design. Finally, according to various functions and operation of VR technique such as molding, interaction, pan, I try to apply the VR technique in campus pipelme information system.
