Internet Public Sphere: Debating Between Republic And Utopia

The force of Internet public opinion has made Internet be social guiding media. Some experts believe that Internet had constructed an ideal public sphere. In the public sphere theoretical frame, the thesis made a content analysis about "Huai-De-Men" event between Sina and Century-China, based on this, and study showed that reshaping ideal public sphere was influenced by various factors such as realistic society, historical tradition, political economy and so on, in addition to technological factor of media form. Because of these factors such as digital gap, missing of interactive mechanism, the penetration and controlling of new media's commercial logic and social power to cyber space, republic of public sphere perhaps is an Utopia at first. It is only a real public discoursing platform which presented in our view, not an ideal public sphere.
