On The Construction And Development Of Internet Public Sphere

The public sphere is famous for Mr Habermas, which means a relatively dependent public place between civil society and organs of state power. Since stepping into information society, public sphere has had an unprecedent expansion and extension, one of which is the gradually forming of internet public sphere.Since2010, micro blog has played a more and more important role in China’s public issues, especially Sina Weibo. It not only provides people with interest appeal channels and platform for the public discussion, but also make possible for the cultivation of public awareness and enlightenment of democratic spirit. Public opinion on micro blog has become an indicator of social public opinion, which plays an important guiding role in the process of the public event and the implementation of government policy.Micro blog is certain agreeing with the core of public sphere in focusing on common interests and supervision of political power. Discussing internet public sphere under the framework of micro blog has not only important research value, but also practical significance to the democratic development of Chinese society. Based on the public opinion on micro blog of year2010to year2012, this paper demonstrates Sina Weibo to the constructing process of internet public sphere from the construction of the public platform, the formation of the public group and the guidance of the public opinion. However, there are some bottlenecks of Sina Weibo as well. This paper suggests that the key to further the development of internet public sphere is to combine the power of the public, media and government.
