Intelligent Computer Assisted Instruction (ICAI) is one of the application modes in CAI. It is based on the artificial intelligence science, cognitive science and thought science. It centralizes the experience and wisdom of the teaching experts to the greatest degree. By means of computer, IC.A system impart all kinds of knowledge and skills to the students aiming at the personalized teaching thus greatly improving the teaching efficiency. The realization of ICAI system is based on perfed model, so, the discussion to ICAI model has been one of the focuses of this studying field all the time.This text proceeds research surrounding ICAI system, proposes a kind of new ICAI model — Component-Based General ICAI (CBGICAI) model, then realizes the ICAI system. Firstly introduce instructional design to the research of CBGICAI model, and draw lessons from modern education theory and thought, offer the corresponding study environment according to differen study individuals, fully reflects the construct doctrine study thought. Secondly, launch compressive analyzing to ICAI system, studies the analysis and design of CBGICAI model. CBGICAI model in general, open, intelligent model in design. CBGICAI model uses advanced component technology in the realization, make teaching resources standardized, make the system has a good reusability and a high expansibility. Then, based on constructed general model, combing concrete courses develop an ICAI system. Finally, summarize ICAI system. So far, this text has carried on deep exploration about Component-Based General ICAI system.
