The Research And Design Of ICAI System Based On Internet

With the development of World Wide Web (WWW), more and more computers have been connected with Internet, which is without the limitation of application. How to explore the resource of Internet, and how to realize teaching course on the network have become a focus of research and development in the area.The development of Internet technology has created a new era of long-distance education. Its teaching course planing, teaching methodology and teaching view have been deeply reformed. WWW's system and its database is the base to realize ICAI on Internet.In this paper, starting with every part of ICAI and its specific implementation method, an ICAI system based-on Internet is created and its practical implementation structure is also provided. Our ICAI system comprises Knowledge-Base, Teaching Strategy and Student Model. Here, a course is divided into separate knowledge points, of which, the interrelation is expressed in knowledge graphs and the contents in hypertext style. Furthermore, the teaching methods vary according to the features of knowledge points and is adjusted according to the test results after the students have taken some test. The same importance, Student Models are created in accordance with students' original login information and their study progress. Hence, the improved system is promised to do better to teach the students in accordance with their aptitude. Our ICAI system is based on B/S mode, and teaching method, knowledge points & their interrelation are stored in databases, which provides a lot scalability and flexibility.
