Along with the development of the market economy and joining WTO, the products of our country are up against the drastic competition not only in inland but overseas, especially steel product. The quality of Steel product is made up of three facets: size and form precision, surface quality, dynam capability. Now along with the evolution of the control technique and steel-making, the precision and dynam capability of the steel product have been improved greatly, so the presence problem is how to solve the surface quality of the steel product more efficiency.To solve the problem of the surface quality in steel product manufacture, the parameter detection system of muzzle based on LabVIEW is put forward. The Step Motor and the data acquisition card of NI Company are used to design the system including two portions: workbench control design and parameter acquisition design. The design of workbench is composed three parts: manual control, auto control, back to initial position. The parameter acquisition, storage, read function constitute the capability parameter acquisition. The system implement the parameter acquisition precise and fleetly via the combination of the two parts.The system will accomplish the acquisition of muzzle based on controlling the movement of the workbench, attain a well dephosphorize effect. Thereby it will enhance the product quality and the modernization of iron and steel industry.
