Different manufacturing company has different testing requirement for its product, some testing equipment was developed on VC or VB, it takes long time to develop testing system base on such programming tool, and it's difficult to debug program error, the key disadvantage is that such testing system has poor compatibility, in recent years a new technology named Virtual Instrument grows very fast, more and more lab and company start to use this technology to develop their testing system. Compare with other platform, Virtual Instrument has high accuracy, easy to expand, shorter development time, excellent integration. This Project is to develop a DC motor speed testing system base on Virtual Instrument technology, focal points are: hardware platform and software-testing program, the target is to develop a high-accuracy, high-efficiency, low-cost testing system.After analysis of existing testing system, some function is improved, which is adopted into new system on both hardware and software portion, for hardware it's mainly focus on structure, sensor, encoder,etc, for software there is brief introduction of testing flow of the program, and describe the problem met in development and how to solve them. Last section evaluate whole project and key performance item of the testing system, also analyze next improvement direction.
