In recent years, Electronic Book (E-book) has become a tendency of young people's reading. E-books with a wide range in various forms, especially using mobile devices as the carrier have also become a read fashion. However E-books in the form of database, queried and read by computers are still a very important resource provided by the university libraries because of its rich content and academic character. But in what situations the college students will use that E-books, how to use, what are the factors that influence students to use or not, etc, there are no clear conclusions among domestic researches. They are questions to answer in the process of E-book resources.Based on this, the paper firstly summarizes the current research on E-books; then taking Shanghai Jiao Tong University as an example, conducts a practical investigation on the domestic college students? E-book use behavior, obtaining the first-hand empirical data; thirdly, based the these data, analyzes the psychological factors and environmental factors that influence the students? E-book use behavior greatly. The results show that most students have used E-book, but with a low frequency; students favor textbook most, choose to search in the E-books and screen read; most students think the biggest advantage of E-books is convenience, including easy access, search ability, replicability, etc; the biggest drawback is the uncomfortable screen reading.According the characteristics of E-book, its use behavior can be analyzed as a case of information system, applying the related theories of user behavior, especially the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) related to the adoption of information system. Then the paper introduces the TAM and other related behavior theories. According to the factors of Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use(PEU) in TAM, combined with the above empirical results, extracting Screen Design(SD) and the Availability(A) as two factors, a total of four factors are used to get the framework of E-book Acceptance Model.To further verify the proposed theoretical model, the paper designed a scale questionnaire and carried out a range of surveys. According to the survey results, PU and SD are the most important factors, followed by PEU and then Availability. Availability does not have an obvious direct impact on the E-book use intention, but significant to PU. After validated, the proposed model obtained a high degree of explanation of E-book use intention, especially, proving SD as a significant factor to influence college students? E-book use.After the empirical investigation, building of theoretical model and empirical test of the theory model, the research obtains a theoretical explanation on domestic college students? E-book use behavior.
