Instant Message is a new Internet communication tool that has some major advantages made it become an essential tool for people's lives and work: real-time, cross-platform, low-cost, high efficiency. And it is more potential to replace e-mail to become the most popular and widespread Internet service. However, research about Instant Message is rare, contrary to thriving scene with Instant Message.In this dissertation, we mainly discussed the validity and influence of the relations between attitude and intention from the perspective of users. We developed the user acceptance Instant Message model based on the framework of perceived-attitude-intention, and focused on the validity of model and interrelations and influences between the variables and try to find the critical factors on user's Instant Message intention. The research on the interrelations of perceived, attitude and intention and their influences runs through this article.The first section of this dissertation is literature review on the trends of the research on Technology Acceptance Model. We hold, based on reading a large number of documents, analysis and induction, that from a technology point of view, users'acceptance of Instant Message is similar to their acceptance of information technology. Thus, the research findings of the attitude, intention model-Technology Acceptance Model can serve as the most direct theoretical and methodological base for the research in this article. On the above basis, this dissertation concentrates on two parts: 1) Construct the user acceptance of Instant Message model, and then prove the validity of the model trough empirical research; 2) Find out the critical factors of affecting the user behavior intention of Instant Message.In the process of study towards above two aspects, the dissertation insists on integrating the normative and empirical research. We testified the soundness of our key proposition on the perceived, attitude and intention of the model through the survey. While processing the data from the survey, we used methods to appraise and verify our assumption such as reliability analysis, validity analysis, and structure equation model.
