Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a management information system oriented to shop floor. It plans to fill the gap between Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP) layer and shop floor control system layer. As the core function of MES, reasonable and optimized job level production scheduling plays a key role in successfully implementing MES in a manufacturing enterprise. With technology develops, dynamic and multi-objective is the direction of production scheduling problem. Especially in ship manufacturing industry, painting MES make sure effective production by create specific painting dispatching bill, monitoring painting environment closely and manage painting quality with enterprise painting production plan. Painting MES is also the effective tool to improve the lever of ship painting management and decrease painting production cost.The application background of this paper is the factual ship section painting scheduling process. After analysis of assembling, painting and carrying of ship section, the paper focus on the section painting scheduling problem. In the current section painting scheduling process, a lot of uncertain factors influence scheduling such as weather, uncertain arrival time, fluctuation of efficiency of work groups and obvious specification differences among sections. So dynamic and multi-objective scheduling are the main concerns when designing and implementing section painting scheduling system. With the features of ship painting process, the paper mathematical modeling section painting scheduling problem, uses immune algorithm to solve it based on default performances. To deal with the uncertain factors in the scheduling problem, we design the dynamic scheduling mechanism and process. At last, the paper designs and implements section painting scheduling system. The system is core module of painting MES and play a role in the developing and implementation of ship painting MES. The specific content of the paper includes:First, analysis ship section production process, summarize the factors which influence section painting scheduling, mathematical modeling section painting scheduling problem, analysis constrains and performances of this problem.At the second hand, based on the default performance and immune algorithm, we solve the section painting scheduling problem. Section painting scheduling algorithm is based on genetic algorithm, using prior knowledge in sector painting scheduling problem, the paper design vaccine of immune algorithm to guide the direction of immune algorithm. At the mean time, we adopted coding and decoding method for scheduling problem to achieve the goal of dual-resource scheduling, then verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.Then, we improve the dynamic scheduling mechanism based on periodic and event-driven mechanism to satisfy the system's requirement to deal with dynamic events. And in order to reduce the time consumption, the paper proposes the rules to determine the sections set to be scheduled based on role window technology.At last, this paper proposes section painting scheduling system framework oriented to painting MES based on the function model of painting MES. Then design the function modules and analysis each module from the relationship among the functions. Finally, implement every module motioned before with the system database designing.
