Small and medium-sized enterprises account for most of the manufacturing industry in China,presenting the characteristics of multi-variety and small-batch production.These enterprises often have problems such as poor technological innovation capabilities,imperfect equipment management,and inability to guarantee delivery dates.They are often unable to plan production schedules.Reasonably decomposing orders into operation plans leads to unbalanced production lines,and lean management thinking is not integrated into the production process,resulting in production waste and inventory surplus.These problems make SMEs less competitive and unable to meet customer requirements for product diversity..Therefore,it is of great significance to research and develop a modern manufacturing execution system(MES)for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in view of the characteristics and problems of SMEs' production.This article first discusses the current state of informationization in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises and the problems faced in production scheduling.For example,there are sudden incidents such as insertion of bills in production and changes in production processes that cause SMEs to be unable to grasp the production situation in a timely manner,resulting in materials Missing parts or intermediate parts accumulate.At the same time,the development status of MES system at home and abroad is analyzed,and the importance of MES system in manufacturing is described.It is pointed out that lean management and production scheduling are the core of manufacturing execution system.Then,the system architecture and function of MES system are introduced in detail.The model points out the shortcomings of the traditional MES system architecture and proposes a service-oriented MES architecture.It also discusses the production planning and control and related scheduling theory,and proposes a scheduling method based on the DBR theory,namely to find the bottleneck process.Pull-style production.This paper studies the scheduling scheduling problem of the small and medium-sized enterprises based on their production characteristics,and proposes a three-tier scheduling strategy based on the static job planning layer,job control layer,and dynamic job planning layer to improve the response of enterprises to unexpected events in production.ability.Finally,taking the production line of the power distribution cabinet of TBA as an example,the paper analyzes the requirements of the workshop business and designs functional modules.The overall function of the MES system is divided into production planning management,bill of materials(BOM)management,barcode management,and inventory management.Nine functional modules,such as product management,equipment management and quality management,designed the business process,BOM and database table structure of the MES system,and developed various functional modules of the MES system using Java language.The MES software for SMEs developed in this paper was implemented and applied by TBA.The application results show that the three-level scheduling strategy proposed in this paper can make better dynamic scheduling for uncertainties in production.The lean management idea and Drum-Buffer-Rope(DBR)theory are compared with MES system.The combination can effectively eliminate unbalanced processes in production,reduce waste in intermediate stocks,and increase production efficiency.
