Capture-Control Pod is cabin payload container device hung on the outside ofaircraft, ships and other moving vehicle. Tianjin University and the China AerospaceScience and Industry Group are particular in this project of image display system ofCatching-Controling pod in collaboration. The system is used in aircraft, with capture,search, tracking and other functions.This paper presents an image display system based on platform of TITM320DM642 DSP. The system have the function of image acquisition, processingand display under the control of IPC and CPLD. The part of image collection isconsists of two parts: the first is by CCD camera, the second is read form SD carddirect. When the image collection complete, the analog image will be digitized byvideo decoder and transmitted to the DSP and waiting for processing. The part ofprocess function is reading the image of input buffer to the temporary buffer for imageprocessing, and then transmitting the processed image to the SDRAM output buffer.The part of display function is encoding the image data of output buffer into a CVBSvideo signal to TV show. Now the system has been successfully delivered andachieved the established objectives.The paper firstly introduces the choice of each processing unit and design optionsof the system. Secondly develop the hardware platform of The Design of ImageDisplay System on Catching-Control Pod under theoretical basis. And the paper has adetail description of the function units, including the DSP image processing module,the video capture channel, the video display channel and the power supply module.Thirdly have a design of the software part of the system, including the softwaredesign of each function unit of the platform, the programming of the CPLD and Flash,the method of image geometric transform and adding scale and text on the image. Atlast has a detail discussion on the software design to optimize on using someoptimization algorithm. Through optimization, greatly improved the speed of imageprocessing, and satisfactory progress were made in achieving the goal of real-timedisplay.
