With the wide application of LED display system, much more attention had been paid to display effect, display content, display mode and operate environment. And also a safety, stability, and cost-effective system are required. If we choose the traditional SOC to control display screen, there will be much restriction on the capability, operational speed and program method. In recent years, embedded system had much broad applications in more and more field along with the improved software and hardware. All kinds of embedded system productions have come forward. Recently, the embedded system, in which the kernel source are ARM processors, has been applied in more and more LED display systems, and had achieved good effects in improving display quality and enhancing display function.In this paper, we are trying to design a LED full color screen display control system which is based on ARM SOC. The display control system had combined much software and hardware treatment of economy, practicality, feasibility and high feasibility. This paper had designed system's hardware construction, and designed OS and application software's principal function; In case of application software's exploitation, we introduced image's format like BMP and JPEG, and we discussed these images'code and decode operation, and describe the display process when these image had decoded, after that, we discussed these image's 256-gray-level'display; In case of application software's debug, we introduced the download of bootloader program, and the debug methods of connection PC and embedded system.The embedded system in this paper design, had imbruted by Chongqing Science & Technology Commission's key scientific and technological construction project, and had achieved rather satisfying display effect by combining actual demands.
