FPGA and DSP are widely used in the field of electronic information, because of plenty of programmable logic resource in FPGA and great ability of digital signal processing in DSP, they are becoming the first choices of developing a project. For FPGA and DSP learners, the importance of a development board speaks for itself, a highly functional and convenient development board can make the learners get to know and be familiar with the tecniques of FPGA and DSP more quickly, so a development system of high quality is very useful.Based on TMS320C6713 DSK, this paper successfully designs and implements a development system which can operate combining DSP and FPGA, it can samples and processes analog waveform and image signal, the processing result can be evaluated by using LCD and oscillograph. This system makes use of DSP/BIOS kernel to initialize DSP and to arrange tasks. This paper elaborates the principle of DSP/BIOS kernel and the configuration of this system's DSP/BIOS kernel. With the development platform CCS, this paper develops the programme of DSP by using C programming language, and also analyzes the important functions and files by showing the actual codes. This paper elaborates the design thoughts of the main FPGA modules in this system, with the development platform Quartusâ…ˇ, every module in this system is implemented by using Verilog HDL. At last, after FPGA debugging tool embedded logic analyzer SignalTapâ…ˇis adopted to do the hardware factual test, this paper makes the last improvements and adjustments to the whole system.The factual test shows that the design of this system can meet the scheduled objects and requirements, the sampling, processing and showing of the analog waveform and image signal can work stably which provides FPGA and DSP learners with a good development platform of learning and developing.
