With the high development of computing technology, weld manufacturing is undergoing the development of being automatized, intellectualized and mechanized. Weld image processing and automatic tracking technology is one of the significant subjects widely concerned both at home and abroad. This paper, with tracking as its target and based on the developmental image processing platform of high speed DSP processor TMS320C6713, proceeds the study on software design.In this paper the software structure of image information processing system based on DSP/BIOS real-time operating system is exploited and the image information treating process is divided into 4 relatively independent tasks: image data collecting task, information algorithm processing task, result or command outputting task and DSP decision communication task. All these tasks, under DSP/BIOS dispatching mechanism, execute parallel according to the priority designated by their users. Thus the utilization ratio of the resources is enhanced.At the same time, based on CSL, this paper gives the software design and program of the image collection, process and communication modules. By successfully transplanting the image processing algorithm from PC to the software structure the paper realizes the processing of image collection and by using methods such as C compiler optimization option, inline function and TI image library, etc, it also deeply explores the ways to optimize code and optimizes the program based on C Language. The result of the software test shows the execution efficiency of the optimized algorithm has increased greatly and obviously. At last Bootloader exploitation is preceded on flash, which helps the system platform can run independently from the emulation environment and helps complete the software design exploitation of image information processing.
