ZigBee-based Remote Monitoring And Control Network

As electronic technology and communication technology continues to develop, promoting the rapid development of low-power multi-function sensor. Wireless sensor network is based on sensor technology, embedded computing technology, modern networking and wireless communication technology,distributed information processing technology. through various integrated micro-sensor wireless sensor network can monitor,perceive and collect the information of given objects.ZigBee is a technology of short distance, low complexity, low power, low-rate, low-cost two-way wireless communications.which has large network capacity. ZigBee technology is mainly used for electronic devices which need short distance communication,low power consumption and low rate transmission it can also be applied to periodic data, intermittent data, and low-latency data transmission. The ZigBee wireless technology combined with the sensors, can constitute a wireless sensor network which can be widely used in consumer electronics, environmental monitoring and protection, industrial control, medical equipment and other fields, and has broad prospects.This paper introduces the concept of ZigBee technology and protocol architecture, then introduces the software and hardware for wireless sensor design. ZigBee node use Freescale's 8 bit microcontroller as processor, and MC13912 as wireless data transceiver chip. With B/S structures and modular design method, using the development platform of Linux and S3C2410, ZigBee wireless server can be remote access and access the internal information of each sensor node via Internet. In this paper, the wireless sensor network were tested, and the experimental studies show that the wireless sensor network has a good remote monitoring,scalability and portability.
