Research And Implementation: A Personalized Platform For Research Guidance To Postgraduate

Recently, the quality of postgraduate training has become focus of people's concern, and the key is to improve the research ability of postgraduates. At present, the majority way of postgraduates'cultivation is apprenticeship style, so effective communication between postgraduates and supervisors is important, which could be assisted by network. Therefore, it is necessary to develop related network platform supporting scientific research, because it not only could offer help to the intercourse between postgraduates and supervisors, but also help supervisors to guide postgraduates'scientific research.At first, this paper investigates the situation of study and training of postgraduates among postgraduates and supervisors, involving training style, personalized education, communication between them, management and guidance in scientific research, network-assisted learning, and so on. Result of analysis of the investigation shows that, network has become an important way of communication between postgraduates and supervisors, and it is necessary for supervisors to provide personalized guidance for postgraduates in many aspects. Therefore, author proposes the mode of personalized research guidance based on network, which includes knowledge guidance, ability guidance and emotional guidance. Knowledge guidance refers to viewing week-report of knowledge learning, research ability, and personalized guidance. It also refers to viewing updated status of research, checking paper of recommendation for sharing, and so on. Ability guidance refers to guidance in research-fruit-out, skills and methods, and collaborative learning in this process. And emotional guidance refers to the intercourse between postgraduates and supervisors such as viewing and replying leaves.According to methods of software engineering, this paper analyzes needs on the function and performance of platform, and also designs the technical architecture and safety performance of platform. Furthermore, author develops related functions based on the environment of ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2000. It hopes to promote the communication between postgraduates and supervisors. It also wishes to help supervisors provide personalized research guidance for postgraduates so as to improve the quality of postgraduate education.Finally, author makes some tests and trial usage for platform. The result shows that it is reasonable in design ideas and solutions of platform. The platform plays a practical role not only to facilitate the communication between postgraduates and supervisors, but also to the guidance from supervisors to postgraduates about scientific research.
