This thesis takes demolition reports as an example, and analyse how the mainstream media to representsocial confilict of interest in trasition in China. It finds advantages and disadvantages of the representation and gives suggestions to improve.Firstly, this thesis analyze the decision-making and game of demolition, and discussesthe role of media in social conflict of interest in transition with the view of sociology. It believes that media should take responsibilities in conflict of interest suchas give truly objective representation,supervise public power with public opinion and coordinate social interests.Secondly, this thesis choose People's Daily,Southern Metropolis Daily and Southern Weekend, to represent the kinds of newspapers which targeted readersin different class respectively,such as party newspaper,popular newspaper and elite newspaper. It takes demolition reportsfrom 2008 to 2010 of these three newspapersas samples,uses content and text analysis, then summarized three frames. They are achievement construction frame dominated by political ideology for party newspaper, conflict frame guided by media independent consciousness for popular newspaper, and legal frame guided by elite consciousness for elite newspaperLastly, with comparative analysis of the three reports frames, we find that the representation of the mainstream media reports on demolition formed into a diversity structrue which can be called "public opinion chorus". But there are some deficiencies in reports on journalism professionalism and humanistic concern. So it proposed thatwe should use objective, neutral, balancedand fair manners to report. Focus on people's livelihood and strengthens the humanistic concern. Establish public service consciousness and handle the benefit relationship among politic, economic and social.
